Construction work that requires individuals to be within 6 feet of one another is considered medium risk work by OSHA.
Those working in the construction industry are at high risk of becoming infected with the coronavirus. Workers should pay particular attention when using job site elevators, trailers, and worksite vehicles. Recent studies show COVID-19 can survive on surfaces and objects long after someone has transmitted the disease. Construction workers touch a lot of objects, which means gloves are more crucial than ever. Also, OSHA considers those who enter an indoor house or facility with those infected with the COVID-19 a high-risk worker. Tasks that are with 6 feet of another worker are deemed medium risk.
