OSHA 1910.269

OSHA 1910.269, which went into effect in 2014, covers the operation and maintenance of electric power generation, control, transformation, transmission, and distribution lines and equipment. The ruling requires flame-resistant clothing (FRC) protection for employees as they may encounter electric arcs. In addition, it requires a complete hazard assessment be performed by employers and considers FRC as fundamental PPE for electrical contractors and linemen.
