Please be aware that not all embroidery companies use FR materials in their embroidery, which means company logo additions can become a hazard. Beyond understanding that you don't want to wear unsafe FR apparel, OSHA 1910.269 prohibits clothing that could melt onto an employee's skin or that could ignite and continue to burn. Meltable fabrics, such as acetate, nylon, polyester, and polypropylene, even in some blends, must be avoided in the embroidery stitching. When these fibers melt, they can adhere to the skin and transfer heat rapidly, resulting in injury.
