The flame-resistant fabric used in FR apparel is essentially the worker's last line of defense when exposed to workplace hazards involving fire. Knowing that FR clothing must protect against treacherous hazards, workers want to be sure they are choosing a fabric from a reputable company, one they can trust and can count on.
Treacherous hazards
Flame-resistant fabrics are traditionally divided into two types: Inherently FR and Treated Fabrics. The FRC sold by MCR Safety features both technologies. We feature FR clothing made with DuPont™ Nomex®, Westex® Ultrasoft™ and Summit Breeze™ fabrics that meet NFPA 2112-2012 standards for protection against flash fires and NFPA 70E-2012 for electrical fire safety in the workplace.
