MCR Safety’s standard anti-fog coating has been protecting workers from fogging up on the job for decades now. This hydrophobic anti-fog coating is factory-applied at MCR Safety’s eyewear facilities. The coating physically grabs water molecules and holds on to them. This is opposite to rub-on anti-fog coatings, which are merely wetting agents that allow moisture to “slip-off” the lens more easily.
Most everyone knows how frustrating it can be when mirrors, windshields and safety glasses fog. That is why we seek products that offer anti-fogging treatment.
As we highlighted on our home AF page, the initial anti-fog coating released by NASA was a state-of-the-art innovation when released. We’ve just seen more and more advancements take place, since that initial technology was introduced.
